Proposal Photography – Swampscott, MA

James contacted me right before the holidays about possibly taking some candid “paparazzi” style photographs during his planned proposal to his beautiful girlfriend Vita. I’d never done this before but thought what better moment could there be to capture than 2 people in love deciding to spend their lives together! We made a plan and I used my decoy models (thanks husband and puppy!) on the day to pretend I was photographing them at the proposal spot while I really had the camera trained on James and Vita as he was proposing! James didn’t want me too close and was hoping that Vita wouldn’t even know after the proposal that I had snapped any photos. He surprised her with the photos as a Christmas present later on. Very sweet! I must say it was so fun to capture and I was trying not to smile too much while shooting because all I could hear was Vita, in her excitement, saying “Oh my God! Oh my God!” Congrats James and Vita! What an exciting way to end 2013 and what an exciting year the two of you have ahead. All the best guys!

And I can’t resist just adding a thank you to my wonderful hubby for braving the extremely cold temperatures to act as my decoy model. I came away with this super cute photo of him looking adorable trying to stay warm while I was playing paparazzi.
